BISMARCK, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A tragic incident unfolded in Bismarck, Missouri on Tuesday evening, resulting in the death of a young man following an encounter with law enforcement.

The deceased individual has been identified as 21-year-old Kalob Douglas Watts, a resident of Bismarck, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control swiftly responded to the distressing scene, located at the 1200 block of Spruce Street in Bismarck, Missouri. Preliminary investigations indicate that the Bismarck Police Department was called to the residence due to reports of a disturbance. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Douglas armed with a handgun. In response to the perceived threat, an officer discharged their weapon, striking Douglas. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he was tragically pronounced dead.

Fortunately, no law enforcement officers sustained any injuries during the incident.
