Officer-Involved Shooting Claims the Life of Bismarck Resident

BISMARCK, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Tragedy struck the peaceful town of Bismarck, Missouri on Tuesday evening when a fatal officer-involved shooting occurred, resulting in the death of a young local resident. The deceased has been identified as Kalob Douglas Watts, a 21-year-old individual hailing from Bismarck.

The incident unfolded on Spruce Street in Bismarck, prompting the swift response of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control. According to the preliminary investigation, the Bismarck Police Department was called to the scene due to reports of a disturbance at a residential property. Upon their arrival, officers encountered Douglas, who was armed with a handgun.

In an attempt to neutralize the threat posed by Douglas, an officer discharged their weapon, striking him. Douglas was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. However, despite the efforts of medical professionals, he was tragically pronounced dead at the hospital.
