“Bend Man Arrested in Stabbing Death of His Mother: A Tragic Incident Shakes the Community”

Accident – Death – Obituary News : A 37-year-old man from Bend, Oregon, has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his mother. The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 26, when the Bend Police were called to a domestic dispute at a residence on SE Lee Lane. The caller reported that someone at the home had been stabbed.

Within one minute of receiving the call, the police arrived at the Lee Lane home. They encountered the suspect, who lived in the house, and took him into custody immediately. The officers then entered the home to provide aid to the victim, who was identified as the suspect’s 60-year-old mother, Rene Lynn Carlson. Carlson resided in the house with her son and another family member.

The Bend Police have assured the community that there is no ongoing threat related to the incident. The suspect is currently being held on suspicion of second-degree murder and has been transported to the Bend Police Department for further investigation. After being discharged from the hospital, he will be booked in the Deschutes County Jail.

As the investigation continues, the area of SE Lee Lane and Woodland Boulevard, between Third and Fourth streets, remains closed. Detectives and the Oregon State Police Forensics Lab are processing the scene for evidence.

McLerran went missing on Christmas Day, and his loved ones are desperate for any information about his whereabouts. He was last seen walking away from his home in midtown Bend on Monday, December 25th, at 1 p.m.
