Police Identify Woman Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances in Bristol Home

BRISTOL — Authorities have released the name of an elderly woman who was discovered deceased in a residence under suspicious circumstances on Christmas Day. The victim has been identified as Diana Jones, an 83-year-old resident of Bristol.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and initially, the Bristol Police withheld the name and address of the deceased. However, the authorities have now confirmed the identity of the victim.

On Monday morning, law enforcement received a welfare check request for a home located on Morningside Drive West in Bristol. Upon arrival, police and firefighters discovered the lifeless body of Diana Jones in a bedroom.

Given the suspicious nature of the scene, Bristol Police have launched an investigation into the incident, treating it as a potential crime. The residence where the incident occurred is a ranch-style home built in the early 1940s, owned by Diana Jones according to property records. The house is situated near Pine Court.

Bristol Police, in collaboration with the state police, processed the scene on Monday evening with the assistance of the New Britain State’s Attorney’s Office. Furthermore, the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is also involved in the investigation to determine the cause and manner of Diana Jones’ untimely death.

The next of kin of Diana Jones have been notified about her demise by the Bristol Police. The Criminal Investigations Division of the Bristol Police is actively investigating the incident.
