Man Arrested for Biting Off Father’s Nose in Jajpur District
JAJPUR: Authorities in Jajpur district have apprehended a 32-year-old man identified as Bibhuti Samal alias Mantu for allegedly biting off his father’s nose and attacking two other individuals in a drunken state. The incident unfolded at Routarapur village under the jurisdiction of Jajpur Road police limits.
According to police reports, Bibhuti arrived home intoxicated on Monday night and began verbally abusing his neighbors without any provocation. When his father, Shatrughan, confronted him about his behavior, a heated argument ensued between the father and son. In a fit of rage, Bibhuti proceeded to physically assault his father, ultimately biting off his nose.
Upon hearing the commotion, two neighbors rushed to the scene in an attempt to intervene. Unfortunately, Bibhuti turned his aggression towards them as well. The Jajpur Road police promptly arrived at the location and successfully apprehended Bibhuti. Subsequently, a case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The accused was brought before the local court on Tuesday, where his bail plea was rejected. As a result, he has been remanded to judicial custody. Jajpur Road Police station IIC, Upendra Kumar Pradhan, provided this update on the case.

Thankfully, the Jajpur Road police were quick to respond and managed to apprehend Bibhuti. Subsequently, a case has been registered against him under the pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code.
On Tuesday, the accused was presented before the local court for proceedings. Regrettably, his bail plea was denied, resulting in his remand to judicial custody. Jajpur Road Police station IIC, Upendra Kumar Pradhan, shared this development regarding the case.
