Tragic Incident: Young Trekker Succumbs to Heart Attack on Tadiandamol Peak

MADIKERI – A young adventurer’s trekking expedition in the picturesque region of Kodagu, Karnataka, turned fatal as he tragically succumbed to a heart attack after successfully reaching the summit of Tadiandamol, the highest peak in the district. The unfortunate trekker has been identified as Jathin, a 23-year-old from Haryana.
The incident occurred on Sunday when Jathin and a group of three boys and three girls, who had travelled from Bengaluru, embarked on their trekking adventure to conquer the magnificent Tadiandamol peak. However, their joyous expedition soon took a devastating turn.
Shortly after reaching the summit, Jathin started experiencing severe breathing difficulties. Eyewitnesses reported that he suddenly became breathless and collapsed. A doctor, who happened to be part of another trekking group in the vicinity, quickly rushed to Jathin’s aid, attempting to save him. Despite their best efforts, Jathin suffered a massive heart attack and tragically passed away.
Authorities were promptly alerted, and forest and police officials swiftly responded to the distress call. They immediately ascended the challenging terrain of the Tadiandamol peak and carefully carried Jathin’s lifeless body down on a makeshift stretcher. The body was then transported to the district hospital in Madikeri, where a postmortem examination was conducted. Following the necessary procedures, the authorities handed over Jathin’s remains to his grieving family. The Napoklu police have registered a case in relation to this unfortunate incident.
