Man killed in Northeast D.C. Accident Identified

A 34-year-old man, Samuel Thornton, was pronounced dead after being involved in a fatal accident in Northeast, Washington D.C. The incident occurred on Friday night when Thornton fell on the ground in an alley. Unfortunately, a driver who entered the alley did not see him and accidentally hit Thornton with their car.

Emergency services responded to the scene in the 1100 block of 5th Street Northeast after receiving calls about an unresponsive person. When they arrived, they found Thornton suffering from trauma. Despite their efforts, Thornton was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Chief Medical Examiner, Thornton’s cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries, and it has been ruled as an accident.
