Man Fatally Shot in Metairie Business Parking Lot on Christmas Eve

The Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office has identified the individual who was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Metairie business on Christmas Eve. The victim has been identified as Jeffrey Ramos, a 23-year-old resident of Westwego. Ramos was pronounced dead after being gunned down in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into the case. As of Tuesday, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

According to Sergeant Brandon Veal, spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 5 a.m. in the 4400 block of Wabash Street in Metairie. Upon arrival, they discovered Ramos lying wounded in the parking lot.

Authorities have not released any further details regarding the ongoing investigation.
