Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing Incident After Christmas Day Party Turns Violent

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident involving a fatal stabbing that occurred during a Christmas Day party. The incident took place in Stamford, and the local police department is seeking information from the public to aid their ongoing inquiry.

Discovery of the Stabbing

At approximately 3:30 a.m., Stamford police received a distressing report concerning a victim who had been stabbed. The information was relayed to the authorities after the victim, with severe stab wounds, was brought to Stamford Hospital’s Emergency Room by unidentified individuals. Sadly, despite undergoing emergency surgery, the 32-year-old victim succumbed to their injuries later that morning while in the Intensive Care Unit, as confirmed by the Stamford Police Department.

As of now, the identity of the victim remains undisclosed, pending further investigation.

The Unsettling Encounter

Shortly after 3:50 a.m., Stamford patrol officers observed a man exhibiting reckless behavior while walking along Broad Street. The officers promptly intervened and identified the individual as 22-year-old Beimar Araujo-Ramirez, who was found to have a connection to the stabbing victim.

Authorities have since discovered that Araujo-Ramirez attended a gathering at a residence on Crystal Street, where the unfortunate altercation unfolded. According to the police, a fight erupted outside the premises, ultimately leading to the stabbing. In response to the incident, Araujo-Ramirez, accompanied by others, rushed the injured victim to the hospital.

Arrest and Ongoing Investigation

Stamford Major Crime investigators apprehended Araujo-Ramirez on a charge of disorderly conduct, specifically related to his actions towards the two hosts of the party, who were tenants at the Crystal Street residence. Stamford police Captain Tom Scanlon addressed the arrest in a statement released on Tuesday.
