Multiple Vehicles Damaged in Police Chase Crash in Stanislaus County

Stanislaus County, located in California, witnessed a dramatic incident on Tuesday morning when several vehicles, including two Stanislaus County Sheriff patrol cars, were involved in a collision following a police chase near Modesto. The crash occurred at approximately 11 a.m. near the intersection of Yosemite Boulevard and Kerr Avenue.

The pursuit began when deputies from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office initiated a chase after a suspect. In an attempt to immobilize the suspect’s vehicle, deputies employed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver. However, the PIT maneuver resulted in damage to both patrol cars and the suspect’s vehicle, which eventually crashed into a nearby fence.

Despite the crash, the suspect refused to give up and attempted to flee the scene on foot. However, law enforcement officers swiftly apprehended the suspect and took him into custody.

The suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Roberto Daniel Acosta, a resident of Modesto.
