New Delhi: 54-Year-Old Man Allegedly Killed by Nephew in Property Dispute

New Delhi witnessed a tragic incident on Saturday when a 54-year-old man named Kabir Azam was allegedly killed by his nephew, Bashir Azam, following a heated scuffle over a property dispute. The incident took place in the Nangloi area, and the accused was apprehended by the police on Monday.

The police were informed of the incident by a caller late on Saturday evening. According to the caller, a man had been stabbed near a mosque in the Nangloi area. Upon receiving the information, a police team rushed to the scene and discovered Kabir Azam’s lifeless body on the second floor of a building.

Kabir Azam, a 54-year-old widower, worked as an autorickshaw driver. He had suffered three stab wounds in the abdomen, which ultimately proved fatal.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Bashir Azam, the victim’s 39-year-old nephew, was seen fleeing the scene. Bashir lived on the ground floor of the same building with his parents and two brothers. After the incident, the entire family went into hiding.

A case of murder was promptly registered, and an investigation was initiated. The police worked tirelessly, leading to Bashir Azam’s arrest in the early hours of Monday morning.

During the interrogation, Bashir confessed that frequent arguments over the sale of the property often occurred between Kabir and his nephews. On the fateful Saturday, the argument escalated, and Bashir, along with his brothers, engaged in a violent altercation with Kabir. In a fit of rage, Bashir stabbed his uncle, leading to his untimely demise.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, as the family now grapples with the loss of Kabir Azam. The police have assured the public that they will conduct a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served.
