WILTON, CT — An 18-year-old resident of Wilton has been charged with first-degree assault following an alleged stabbing incident involving a juvenile.

On December 23, at approximately 5 p.m., Wilton police received a call from the Norwalk Police Department regarding a male victim who had been admitted to Norwalk Hospital’s emergency room with stab wounds. It was reported that the stabbing had taken place in Wilton, and the suspect was also present at the hospital, detained by Norwalk police officers.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Wilton officers discovered the victim receiving treatment for two stab wounds. Patrol Officer Eric Patenaude reported that an investigation led them to a crime scene on Orems Lane in Wilton.

The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Aidan Cruickshank of Ridgefield Road in Wilton, was known to the victim.

According to the police report, the victim, Cruickshank, and a juvenile witness drove to Norwalk Hospital in the victim’s vehicle. The knife used in the assault was later recovered from inside the vehicle.

The victim received treatment at Norwalk Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged.

Cruickshank is currently being held on a $250,000 bond, as stated in the police report.
