10-Year-Old Fatally Shot in Coahoma County on Christmas Eve
A tragic incident occurred in Coahoma County on Christmas Eve, resulting in the death of a 10-year-old boy from gunshot wounds.
According to Coahoma County 911, a call was received just after 9 p.m. reporting a juvenile with gunshot wounds being rushed to a hospital in Clarksdale by a private vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that the victims, a 14-year-old and a 10-year-old, were riding around the downtown area of Friars Point when an unidentified individual opened fire, fatally hitting the 10-year-old.
The young boy has been identified as Ladarius Nesbitt. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries sustained from the gunfire.
Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and contact Coahoma County Sheriff’s Investigator Major Gwen Muskin at (662)592-1395. A reward of $2,500 is being offered for tips leading to the arrest of the shooter.
