The shooting took place around 11:30 p.m. near 2nd Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered two women who had sustained gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to the hospital, both victims, identified as 47-year-old Maryalice Cash and 83-year-old Cynthia Domini, succumbed to their injuries. According to property records, Allister Adel and David De Nitto resided together during Adel’s tenure as county attorney. Police have also confirmed that Maryalice Cash, known as “Molly,” was in a romantic relationship with De Nitto, but no further details have been provided about their connection to Cynthia Domini. Homicide detectives believe that all three individuals were attending a holiday gathering at the residence when an argument escalated, resulting in the tragic gunfire.

Allister Adel passed away last year due to health complications. Prior to her death, she publicly acknowledged seeking treatment for anxiety and engaging in “unhealthy coping behaviors,” including an eating disorder and alcohol use. Despite facing criticism in her professional career and calls for her resignation, Adel resisted for several months before ultimately stepping down in March 2022. Tragically, she passed away a month later.

Arizona’s Family will continue to investigate this incident and provide updates as more information becomes available.
