Two Suspects Arrested After Wild Police Chase in Stolen Motorhome in Rancho Cucamonga
In the early morning hours of December 24, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department apprehended two suspects who led authorities on a wild chase through the streets of Rancho Cucamonga in a stolen motorhome. The incident unfolded when Rancho Cucamonga patrol deputies spotted the stolen motorhome at 1:26 a.m. and attempted a traffic stop. However, the driver of the motorhome refused to yield, resulting in a high-speed pursuit.

During the pursuit, the driver allegedly made aggressive maneuvers, attempting to ram the stolen motorhome into several patrol units. The suspect even drove the vehicle in reverse and went against the flow of traffic on multiple occasions. The pursuit finally came to an end when the driver crashed the stolen motorhome into a central median at the intersection of Banyan and Haven avenues.
Following the crash, the suspects barricaded themselves inside the stolen motorhome for a period of time, prompting the response of the Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division. This division took over the investigation and successfully apprehended both suspects without any injuries to law enforcement personnel.
The two suspects have been identified as Tristan Althizer, 28, and Ryan Archuleta Dunbar, 36, both residents of Riverside. They are now facing multiple charges related to the stolen motorhome and the reckless pursuit.
This incident highlights the dedication and swift action of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in ensuring public safety.
