Two individuals lost their lives and twelve sustained injuries when a minibus, transporting a wedding party, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, as per the local police report.

The unfortunate incident occurred near Dhamini at approximately 6 am while the minibus was en route from Balmatkote to Badar village, shared Chassana SHO Suman Singh.

Prompt rescue measures were initiated, resulting in the recovery of one deceased person identified as Mohd Ashraf (25). Thirteen others, including nine girls aged between three and 19 years, were immediately rushed to the hospital for medical assistance.

Tragically, one of the critically injured individuals, a 17-year-old named Tahir Ahmad, succumbed while being transferred to Rajouri for specialized treatment, informed the police officer.
