Tragic Accident on Interstate 91 in Middletown Claims the Life of a New York Woman

A fatal rollover crash occurred on Christmas Day on Interstate 91 in Middletown, resulting in the death of a woman from New York and injuries to two others, according to the Connecticut State Police.
Details of the Collision
The incident took place around 9:04 a.m. on Monday when a Chrysler 300, driven by a 53-year-old man from Worchester, Massachusetts, was traveling on I-91 North. The vehicle was positioned in the center lane, just south of the Exit 20 on-ramp. At the same time, a Toyota Corolla driven by a 19-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York, suddenly veered into the center lane from the right and collided with the Chrysler.

As a result of the collision, both cars lost control and careened into the grassy center median before rolling over, as reported by the state police.
The driver of the Chrysler reported no injuries and declined medical evaluation at the scene. However, the Toyota driver sustained suspected minor injuries and was immediately transported to Hartford Hospital for medical treatment.
Fatalities and Injuries
Tragically, the front-seat passenger in the Toyota, a 57-year-old woman from Brooklyn, New York, suffered serious injuries in the crash. She was promptly taken to Hartford Hospital for immediate medical attention. Unfortunately, the right rear passenger in the Toyota, identified as 74-year-old Verona Facey from Brooklyn, New York, was pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by the state police.
