Tragic Car Accident in Sopore Leaves One Dead and Another Critically Injured

Sopore, December 25 – In a devastating incident that occurred on Monday afternoon, a private car traveling from Bandipora to Sopore met with a tragic accident, resulting in the death of one person and leaving another critically injured. The accident took place at Watlab Sangri Top in Sopore, a picturesque area located in the Baramulla district of north Kashmir.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Mohammad Umar Zaki, a resident of Model Town Sopore. Sadly, Zaki lost his life on the spot due to the impact of the rollover. The injured individual, identified as Mohammad Iqbal Najar from Model Town Sopore, was in a critical condition and was immediately rushed to the Sub-District Hospital in Sopore for medical assistance.

Upon examination, medical professionals at the hospital deemed the injuries sustained by Najar to be severe and referred him to SKIMS Srinagar for advanced treatment. The doctors confirmed the unfortunate incident and expressed their condolences for the loss of Zaki’s life. They highlighted that Najar’s condition required specialized care, which is available at SKIMS Srinagar.

Authorities were promptly alerted about the accident, and a police team swiftly arrived at the scene to investigate the incident. The police officers gathered evidence and took cognizance of the circumstances surrounding the road mishap. Further details regarding the cause of the accident are yet to be disclosed.
