Suspect and Victim Identified in McAllen Murder-Suicide at Coast Asian Bistro & Bar

McAllen Police have identified the suspect and victim involved in a tragic murder-suicide incident that took place at the Coast Asian Bistro & Bar in McAllen. The suspect, Zeng Wang Huang, 58, shot and killed 46-year-old Yi Min Jiang before taking his own life. The incident also left a third person injured and hospitalized.

The incident occurred at the Coast Asian Bistro & Bar restaurant located at 7100 N. 10th St. in McAllen. Police received a distress call around 12:42 a.m. on Friday and swiftly responded to the scene. Upon their arrival, they discovered Jiang’s lifeless body in the office of the establishment. They also found Huang’s lifeless body outside the facility, with evidence suggesting a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Another male individual was discovered outside the restaurant with a gunshot wound and was immediately transported to a local hospital. Authorities have not released any details regarding his identity or current condition as of Saturday morning.

Initial reports indicated that the male and female victims could potentially be husband and wife and were associated with the facility. According to a press release from the McAllen Police Department, Huang engaged in a verbal argument with Jiang before shooting her. He then proceeded outside and shot the male victim before turning the gun on himself.
