A police source from the Meiran division, who wished to remain anonymous, disclosed to PUNCH Metro that once the investigation is concluded, the suspect will be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department for further legal proceedings.

According to reports, the altercation between the couple arose when the husband attended a childhood friend’s wedding without his wife. This apparent exclusion from the event allegedly triggered the wife’s anger, leading to the horrifying act.

The police source assured the public that a thorough investigation into the matter would be carried out. Additionally, they mentioned that the husband, who has been hospitalized since the incident, is being closely monitored by the Meiran division.

“The incident occurred approximately six days ago. It is a true story. The wife intentionally poured hot water on her husband as she believed he had cheated on her,” the source stated. “They were supposed to attend a party together, but the husband chose to go alone. We are closely monitoring the husband’s condition as he is still receiving medical treatment and has not been discharged.”
