Brutal Murder in West Delhi: Two Arrested for Jealousy-driven Crime

A man was ruthlessly killed in the west Delhi area, with his face brutally smashed using stones, in a tragic incident stemming from jealousy over his relationship with a girl. According to an official statement on Monday, the authorities have successfully apprehended two suspects, including the main conspirator.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Pawan Tiwari (35), a resident of Vikas Nagar, and Pawan Singh (24), a resident of Uttam Nagar.

The shocking incident took place on December 16, when a routine police patrol discovered the lifeless body of an unidentified male near the boundary wall of Keshopur Industrial Area DDA Park. The body was disfigured with stones, bearing the signs of a gruesome act of violence.

“The crime scene was marked by a trail of blood scattered on the ground. Despite initial efforts to establish the identity of the deceased, no eyewitnesses were present at the scene,” stated Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Vichitra Veer.

In order to identify the victim and the culprits, a dedicated police team was assembled. Posters and pamphlets were distributed in the surrounding areas to gather crucial information.

“On December 20, the family members recognized the deceased as Sachin Maurya after encountering a pamphlet in Nihal Vihar Ganda Nala,” revealed the DCP.

Further investigation into the matter unraveled the victim’s connection with a girl and exposed the involvement of Tiwari, his neighbor, in a meticulously planned murder plot driven by jealousy. Tiwari’s cohort and friend, Pawan Singh, was also found to be complicit in the crime. Both suspects had absconded following the identification of the victim.

“Special police teams were deployed, and on December 22, we successfully apprehended both accused individuals, Tiwari and Singh, in the Vikas Nagar area. The police also made crucial recoveries, including the deceased’s purse and blood-stained clothing worn by the perpetrators,” added the DCP.
