Three Arrested in Indore for Possession of Brown Sugar Worth Rs 5.50 Lakh

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A team comprising of the Crime Branch and MIG police station in Indore apprehended three individuals with a total of 55 grams of brown sugar, valued at Rs 5.50 lakh. The three accused have been identified as Prashant Thakur, also known as Chote, Nikhil Pal, also known as Sunny, and Vishal Bijore. All three individuals are residents of Patnipura.

The police received a tip-off regarding a possible brown sugar smuggling operation in the MIG police station area. Acting swiftly, the joint team surrounded the specified location and successfully apprehended the accused. Upon searching them, the authorities recovered 55 grams of brown sugar, along with the seizure of a motorcycle that was in their possession. It has been revealed that the arrested individuals were involved in the distribution of drugs, specifically brown sugar, to the youth within the city.

A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act. The police are currently interrogating them to unravel the details of the illegal drug network. It is believed that the arrested individuals have significant connections within the city, indicating the possibility of a larger drug smuggling gang that could be dismantled with the information obtained from them.

Tragic Accident Claims Life of Hospital Supervisor in Indore

In an unfortunate incident, a 50-year-old supervisor working at a private hospital in Indore lost his life following a collision between his motorcycle and another two-wheeler. The incident took place in the Juni Indore police station area on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Pardesai, a resident of Sneh Nagar, and was serving as a supervisor at Shukla Hospital. The collision occurred near ILVA School at approximately 7 pm when Pardesai was en route to Sindhi Colony.

Despite being rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident, Pardesai succumbed to his injuries after a half-hour-long battle. According to his brother-in-law, Sanjay, Pardesai had ventured out to Sindhi Colony to purchase something for his son. Tragically, he was struck by a recklessly driven two-wheeler, reportedly operated by a minor, just 200 meters away from his residence. The impact caused Pardesai to fall on the road, resulting in severe head injuries.

The deceased leaves behind a daughter pursuing an MBA and a son studying in class VIII. The police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident and have conducted a post-mortem examination.

Two Arrested for Mobile Phone Snatching at Knife-Point in Indore

A joint operation conducted by the Crime Branch and Banganga police station in Indore resulted in the arrest of two individuals accused of snatching a bicycle rider’s mobile phone, using a knife as a weapon. The police have successfully recovered the stolen mobile phone.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Rohit from Khatipura Gori Nagar and Rajesh Chauhan from New Gori Nagar. Acting on a tip-off, the police detained the accused after they failed to provide a valid bill for the mobile phone in question. During the subsequent interrogation, both individuals confessed to their involvement in the crime.

The incident took place in October near Banganga Bridge, Sukhliya Square. A case has been registered against the accused under section 392 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and further investigation is currently underway.
