Hit and Run Driver Who Left 3 Dead Arrested in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh

Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh – The authorities have apprehended the truck driver responsible for a hit and run incident that led to the tragic death of three individuals and left three others injured on the Khachrond-Ratlam Road. The local police have successfully arrested the driver and seized the truck involved in the accident.

The incident took place near the Kudel River Bridge (Malvasa) on the Khachrond-Ratlam Road, where a speeding truck collided with three pedestrians, resulting in the loss of their lives. The victims, identified as Fatima B Qureshi, Mubarik Qureshi, and Farzana Qureshi, were all members of the same family residing in Manakchowk, Ratlam.

In addition to the fatalities, Aman, also known as Arman, Faizan Shaikh, and Mohsin Bagwan sustained injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. However, the driver responsible for the accident fled the scene under the cover of darkness, leaving authorities to launch an investigation.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the local police registered a case against the unidentified driver under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Namli police station. Under the diligent guidance of Superintendent of Police Rahul Kumar Lodha, a specialized police team was formed with the mission to trace and apprehend the absconding driver.

Utilizing footage obtained from a nearby CCTV camera, law enforcement officials successfully identified the suspicious Eicher truck. The vehicle, bearing the registration number MP 09 GF 6879, was found heading from Ratlam towards Khachrod. Subsequently, the police managed to apprehend the driver, identified as Bharat Singh, a 45-year-old resident of Jalwa village under Ghatiya police station in Ujjain district.

During the interrogation, Bharat Singh confessed to his involvement in the hit and run incident. He also provided information about the vehicle’s owner, Dharmendra Chauhan, from Harsaudan in Panwasa police station, Ujjain district. Further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
