Man arrested for making objectionable remarks about PM Modi, Amit Shah, and Yogi Adityanath

A 49-year-old man from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested for allegedly making objectionable remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The arrest was made after a video of his comments went viral on social media.

The man, identified as Rampat Yadav, resides in Hoshiarpur village under Sector 49 Police Station limits. The local police took note of the video and arrested Yadav in response to the incident.

A police spokesperson stated, “Accused Rampat Yadav was arrested as a video clip of his objectionable comments about the prime minister, home minister, and the Uttar Pradesh chief minister went viral on social media platforms. The police registered an FIR at the local police station under Indian Penal Code section 505 (B) for spreading rumors to cause a rift in society, along with section 67 of the Information Technology Act.”

Rampat Yadav, who previously worked in the transport sector, expressed regret for making those comments, according to a local police officer. Yadav was produced before a magisterial court and subsequently sent to jail.
