Man Arrested for Fatal Assault in Bihar Following Heated Arguments

A 42-year-old man, identified as Jitender Ram, has been arrested by the Bihar police for his alleged involvement in the killing of another individual after a heated argument. The incident took place in Siwan, Bihar, during a ring ceremony on May 6, 2022. The accused mercilessly assaulted the victim with sticks, resulting in severe injuries that ultimately led to the victim’s death.

The complainant reported that the altercation between the deceased and Jitender Ram occurred over minor issues during the ring ceremony. The situation escalated quickly, and the accused resorted to physical violence, inflicting severe harm upon the victim. Following the assault, the accused fled the scene, leaving the victim in a critical condition.
Once the incident was reported, the police launched an investigation to apprehend the perpetrator. Acting on a tip-off, the authorities discovered that Jitender Ram was hiding in Janta Vihar, Mukundpur, and was planning to meet someone near the Bhalswa Jheel. A well-coordinated operation was executed, resulting in the successful arrest of the accused.
Special Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Singh Yadav confirmed the arrest and revealed that the accused had been regularly changing his hideouts to evade capture. However, the police’s persistent efforts and intelligence gathering ultimately led to the arrest of Jitender Ram.
The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital after sustaining severe injuries. Despite the medical team’s best efforts, he succumbed to his injuries, highlighting the gravity of the assault. The loss of life was deeply tragic and has left the community in shock.
