30-Year-Old Woman Shot During Robbery in Lucknow, India

A 30-year-old woman residing in Sushant Golf City, Lucknow, became a victim of an alleged robbery at her home on Friday night. The incident resulted in a bullet injury to the woman, identified as Anshu Kumari, under her left arm. Currently, she is receiving treatment at the Army Command Hospital, where her condition is reported to be stable, according to the local police.

In response to the incident, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police for the south zone, Shashank Singh, has formed four teams to apprehend the accused. These teams are currently conducting raids in search of the robbers who spent approximately 25 minutes inside the victim’s home.

It has been revealed that Anshu Kumari’s husband, Monu Chaubey, works as an attendant at the Command Hospital, while her father-in-law, a retired army jawan, serves as a security guard at a government office in Hazratganj.

The criminals gained access to their home by scaling the roof at around 3:45 am on Friday. Once inside, they entered Anshu’s room and brandished a gun. Under threat, they coerced her to surrender her ornaments and subsequently shot her.

During the ongoing investigation, the police have discovered the presence of approximately two dozen surveillance cameras near the victim’s house. These cameras are being thoroughly examined, and some footage has been obtained. It has been observed that the burglars employed a motorcycle to carry out the crime.

The analysis of the footage indicates that one of the robbers parked the bike approximately 500 meters away from the house and concealed his identity with a hoodie. He has been captured on various cameras installed along Shaheed Path, riding the bike.

Police authorities are diligently investigating the case from all angles, aiming to gather substantial evidence that will lead to the identification and apprehension of the criminals.

Interestingly, a CCTV footage from a nearby establishment revealed an individual scaling the roof at 2:13 am, just prior to the robbery. Anshu, the victim, stated that the miscreant looted all her ornaments.

It is worth mentioning that Anshu had previously filed a complaint against her husband, Monu, leading to his arrest. Sources close to the investigation suspect that the criminals were aware of Monu’s absence, suggesting a possible connection.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police emphasized the comprehensive nature of the investigation, ensuring that all potential leads and angles are thoroughly explored.
