NEW DELHI: In a shocking incident, three minor boys brutally thrashed and stabbed a 25-year-old man to death before setting his body on fire in a bid to conceal the crime. The horrifying incident took place at a park in southeast Delhi.

According to the police, all three juveniles, aged 16 and 17, were apprehended and claimed that the deceased, identified as Azad, was known as a ‘bad character’ in the Hazrat Nizamuddin police station area. They alleged that Azad had sexually assaulted one of them on multiple occasions, which compelled them to take this extreme step.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast), Rajesh Deo, stated that the police received information about the apprehension of the three suspects from an Emergency Response Vehicle. “The trio, who are residents of Nizamuddin Basti, revealed that they had murdered a man and left his dead body in Khusro Park,” said the DCP. Upon reaching the spot, the police discovered a half-burnt body lying on the ground.

During questioning, the trio disclosed that their motive behind the murder was to seek revenge against Azad for his alleged sexual assaults on one of them. In order to inflict severe punishment, they brutally assaulted and eventually killed him.

During interrogation, the three boys admitted to their motive behind the murder. Seeking revenge for the alleged sexual assaults committed by Azad, they subjected him to a brutal assault that ultimately led to his untimely demise.
