PLUNKETTS CREEK TOWNSHIP, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – A devastating accident on Sunday along State Route 87 has claimed the life of 23-year-old Justin Laganowski from Hillsgrove, PA.
According to a statement released by Pennsylvania State Police, Laganowski tragically lost control of his southbound vehicle around 1 p.m. while driving on State Route 87.
The release further explains that Laganowski’s vehicle collided with the guardrail on the right side of the road, causing it to veer off and travel approximately 50 feet alongside the guardrail. Eventually, the vehicle ran off the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned.
Tragically, the force of the accident ejected Laganowski from his vehicle. Despite immediate medical attention, his injuries proved fatal, and he succumbed to them at the hospital.
At this time, authorities have not determined the cause of the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
