Accident – death – Obituary News : Record Police Blotter Dec. 23, 2023: Criminal Mischief, Vehicle Crashes, PFA Violation, and More

BEECH CREEK – The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Lamar responded to several incidents in Beech Creek and surrounding areas over the past week. Here’s a roundup of the latest police blotter from December 9, 2023, to December 18, 2023.

On December 18, 2023, at 2:45 p.m., PSP Lamar received a report of Criminal Mischief on Beverly Drive in Beech Creek. An outbuilding owned by a 39-year-old male and a 34-year-old female of Beech Creek was damaged by a bullet lodged into the structure. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact PSP Lamar.

Later that same day, at 5:57 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to a vehicle accident on SR150 involving Bryan McGhee, 38, of Beech Creek. McGhee was driving a 2015 Ford F350 when he veered off the roadway and down an embankment. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the crash.

In Porter Township, a commercial vehicle crash occurred on I-80 near mile marker 172.4 on December 18, 2023, at 1:46 a.m. Manuel Tenelema-Espinoza, 31, of Chicago, IL, was driving a 2014 Buick Encore with a passenger, Blanca Naraanjo, 26. Abdisalam Omar, 42, of Minneapolis, MN, was driving a 2015 Cascadia Freightliner. Tenelema-Espinoza crossed into the right lane and struck Omar’s vehicle. Naraanjo sustained minor injuries in the crash.

On the previous day, December 17, 2023, at 12:06 a.m., PSP Lamar troopers responded to a report of a PFA (Protection From Abuse) violation on Hogan Boulevard in Millbrook Plaza. However, upon investigation, it was determined that no violation had occurred.

PSP Lamar also investigated a DUI/drugs vehicle crash on Renovo Road in Grugan Township on December 17, 2023, at 1:53 a.m. A 47-year-old male from Renovo was determined to be driving under the influence and crashed into a 70-year-old male from Lock Haven. Charges are pending toxicology results.

Another DUI/vehicle crash occurred on the same day in Grugan Township. Jason Hritzko, 47, of Renovo, was driving a 2004 Dodge RAM 2500 when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a guide rail, an embankment, and a utility pole. Hritzko sustained injuries of unknown severity and was transported to UPMC Williamsport.

A hit-and-run incident took place in the 5900 Block of Nittany Valley Drive on December 17, 2023, at 10:26 p.m. An unknown driver of a 2020 Jeep Cherokee struck Emmanuel Okyere’s vehicle and fled the scene. Okyere’s vehicle sustained minor damage, and no injuries were reported.

In Allison Township, Rhiannon Williams, 21, of Mill Hall, was charged with DUI after crashing a 2012 Nissan Altima on Renovo Road (SR-120) Westbound on December 16, 2023, at 2:23 a.m. Williams’ vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a mailbox, became airborne, and ultimately rolled onto its side, hitting multiple objects. Williams sustained serious injuries and was flown to Geisinger Danville.

On December 16, 2023, at 1:08 a.m., PSP Lamar responded to a reported disturbance on Pennsylvania Avenue in Bald Eagle Township. David Ciancaglione, 54, of Rockton, PA, was arrested for disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance and attempting to start a fight. He was taken into custody and transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility.

Deanna Driver, 57, of Beech Creek, was cited for retail theft/shoplifting on December 15, 2023, at Walmart in Mill Hall. Driver was observed placing trading cards valued at $2,172.78 in her cart before leaving the store without paying.

PSP Lamar also responded to several hit-and-run incidents. On December 15, 2023, at 11:19 p.m., a driver struck a parked vehicle and a residence on W. Valley Road in Logan Township before leaving the scene. Later that day, at 6:04 p.m., an unknown driver impacted Kenneth Lashley’s vehicle on I-80 East near mile marker 192 and fled without stopping.

Stephen Naglak, 46, of Montgomery, was charged with retail theft/shoplifting on December 12, 2023, at Walmart in Mill Hall. Naglak was caught placing trading cards worth over $2,000 in his cart before leaving the store without paying. Further investigation revealed Naglak’s involvement in multiple retail theft incidents across multiple states.

On December 12, 2023, at 12:10 a.m., Trooper Hall of PSP Lamar conducted a routine traffic stop on Frank D. O’Reilly Jr. Hwy/US 220 S. Ari Gungormez, 29, of Paramus, NJ, was driving a 2008 Infinity EX35. Suspicious activity led to a search of the vehicle, resulting in the discovery of a significant amount of a suspected controlled substance. Charges were filed against Gungormez.

Finally, on December 10, 2023, at 10:17 p.m., a hit-and-run crash occurred on High Street in Flemington. Kambhalapally Balakrishna, 24, of Lock Haven, was struck by a black Ford F-150 that fled the scene without stopping. PSP Lamar is seeking information from the public regarding this incident.
