Two People Hospitalized After Shooting in Toronto’s Entertainment District

Two individuals are currently receiving medical treatment, with one in critical condition, following a shooting incident that occurred in Toronto’s Entertainment District on Sunday morning.

The incident took place near the intersection of Adelaide Street West and John Street.

According to the Toronto Police, officers were called to the area shortly before 3 a.m. in response to reports of gunshots being fired.

Upon arrival, the authorities discovered the first victim, a man in his 30s, at a local hospital. The victim was suffering from life-threatening injuries.

In a subsequent update, the Toronto Police revealed that a second victim, also a man in his 30s, was found at a different hospital. Fortunately, his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

As of now, the investigators have not disclosed any information about potential suspects involved in the incident.

Following the shooting, Adelaide Street was temporarily closed between John and Peter streets to enable the police to conduct their investigation. However, the road has since reopened.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact the Toronto Police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
