Two Arrested for Driving Stolen Car in Forsyth County, Georgia
FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office apprehended two individuals from Houston after they were caught driving a stolen car on Wednesday.
Sandy Springs Police Tips Off Forsyth County
The incident unfolded when Sandy Springs police alerted the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office about a car with a stolen tag entering the county. Acting swiftly, a deputy located the vehicle at a local apartment complex and initiated a traffic stop.

A Brief Chase Ends with a P.I.T. Maneuver
Instead of complying with the deputy’s instructions, the suspect’s car accelerated and attempted to flee from law enforcement. A second deputy joined the pursuit and successfully executed a P.I.T. maneuver, rendering one of the cars undriveable.

Suspects Abandon Vehicle and Attempt to Escape
Following the collision, the two suspects abandoned the stolen car and attempted to flee on foot. The driver, identified as 40-year-old Brandon Davis from Houston, TX, was swiftly apprehended by the deputies.
A Watery Escape Gone Wrong
However, one of the passengers decided to make a daring escape by jumping over a wall. Unfortunately, he miscalculated and fell 15 feet into a retention pond, injuring his leg and foot in the process.
Unraveling the Suspect’s Identity
When approached by law enforcement, the injured suspect provided a fake ID. After further investigation, he was identified as 24-year-old Wallace Thomas, also from Houston.
Evidence of ATM Burglary
During a search of the stolen vehicle, deputies discovered several tools commonly used in ATM burglaries. The recovered items included a chain, a large yellow crowbar, two tow hooks typically utilized by tow truck drivers, and a 12000-pound alloy steel winch hook.
TRENDING STORIES:
A background check revealed that both suspects had prior convictions for burglaries in other states. Thomas had multiple extradition warrants from Texas and Missouri, with one of them specifically related to ATM theft.
Charges Faced by the Arrested Individuals
Brandon Davis has been charged with criminal trespass damage to property, affixing tag to conceal or misrepresent, fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving, theft by receiving, loitering and prowling, conspiracy to commit a felony, and possession of tools for the commission of a felony.
Wallace Thomas faces charges of loitering and prowling, obstruction, false name and date of birth, identity fraud, possession of tools for the commission of a felony, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Both individuals are currently being held without bond.
