Wazir Hussain Shaikh (58) was attacked with a stone and subsequently admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Wanwadi for treatment.

The investigation conducted by the police revealed that the assault was motivated by a dispute over the location of a restaurant. The arrested individual has been identified as Pramod Kakade, a 45-year-old resident of Wanwadi Bazar. The complaint was filed by Isha Wazir Shaikh, aged 56, residing in Bramha Angan Society, Wanwadi. Wazir Shaikh, the retired inspector, is the owner of Nature Grow Tourism Hotel at Constitution Square in Wanwadi, where he has leased the premises for a period of ten years.

The disagreement between Kakade and Shaikh arose when the former, who had a place in the area, was questioned by Shaikh about the tenant. It was revealed that Kakade had been consistently extorting money from Shaikh without a formal tenancy agreement in place.
