Dattanagar Tragedy: Woman Beaten to Death by Husband for Failing to Prepare Food

In the Dattanagar area of Katraj, a horrifying incident unfolded as a woman was ruthlessly beaten to death by her husband for not preparing food, officials said on Sunday.

The victim, identified as Madhura Tanaji Kamble (42), fell victim to a brutal act of domestic violence that shocked the tight-knit community. The accused, Tanaji Shivaji Kamble (43), has been swiftly apprehended by the Bharti University police in connection with the case.

The incident came to light when the victim’s son, Piyush Tanaji Kamble (19), filed a complaint at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station. According to sources, Tanaji, a labourer and alcohol addict, returned home around 10 pm on Saturday and was enraged to find that his wife had not prepared dinner. In a fit of anger, he mercilessly attacked his wife, inflicting severe injuries.

Neighbours, alerted by the commotion, rushed to the scene and immediately called for medical assistance. The victim was swiftly taken to the hospital, but tragically, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Swift Arrest and Ongoing Investigation

Tanaji Shivaji Kamble is now in police custody, facing charges of murdering his wife. Assistant Police Inspector Swapnil Patil is leading the investigation into this horrific crime, leaving no stone unturned to gather evidence and ensure justice is served.

Earlier this month, another shocking incident occurred in Pune’s Pashan area, where a man severely injured his own daughter after his wife failed to prepare chicken for dinner. The local authorities have registered a case against the accused at Chaturshringi Police Station.

The accused in this incident has been identified as Vikas Nagnath Rathod. On the night of November 27, Rathod returned home around 11:30 pm and was enraged to discover that his wife hadn’t cooked chicken for dinner. In a fit of rage, he struck his daughter on the head with a brick, causing serious injuries. The injured girl was promptly rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
