24-Year-Old Man Found Dead Near Rupaspur Canal in Patna

Patna: The body of a 24-year-old man was discovered near the Rupaspur canal in Patna on Saturday morning, as reported by the local police. The victim has been identified as Amarjeet Sharma, a resident of Naubatpur. He had left his home on Friday evening and sent a voice message to his parents.

According to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Rupaspur police station, Ranvijay Kumar, the body was spotted by the locals around 8 am, who immediately informed the police. The police took possession of the body and sent it to the Danapur sub-divisional hospital for autopsy. The victim’s identity was confirmed through an Aadhaar card recovered from his wallet, and his family members were informed promptly.

Upon examination, no visible injury marks were found on Amarjeet’s body, except for a fractured right hand. Based on preliminary findings, the police believe it to be a case of murder.

The SHO stated, “Police are investigating the case from all angles. Sharma’s family members informed the police that he had sent a voice message saying, ‘Is janam me aap mujhe bhul jaye’ (You should forget me in this life).”
