Teenager Allegedly Punches 15-Year-Old Boy, Resulting in Tragic Death

NELLORE: A game of cricket took a tragic turn when a 16-year-old boy allegedly punched a 15-year-old boy, resulting in his death. The incident occurred at Zakir Hussain Nagar in Nellore town and district on Sunday.

The victim, identified as Farid, was a 15-year-old class-IX student at a private school. While some witnesses claimed that Farid was beaten to death with a cricket bat, the police have ruled out this possibility.

According to locals, a group of teenagers were playing cricket when an argument broke out between Farid and the accused. The argument escalated, and the accused verbally abused Farid before punching him in the chest and throat. Farid collapsed on the spot and was rushed to a nearby hospital by a rural medical practitioner and his parents. Unfortunately, he was declared dead upon arrival.

Inspector Bobby of the Two-Town police station stated that preliminary investigations have revealed that the accused and the victim were neighbors and had previously quarreled over minor issues. It was during their game of cricket on Sunday evening that Farid was allegedly beaten to death.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of Farid’s death. Inspector Bobby confirmed that a case will be registered against the accused, and the investigation is currently underway.

Farid’s grieving parents, however, believe that their son’s death was not an accident but an act of revenge.
