Honolulu Woman Shot and Killed Outside Pearlridge Center, Granddaughter Witnesses Tragic Incident

Cachuela, a 33-year-old social media influencer and beauty entrepreneur, was shot and killed just outside the shopping center. He tried to control her with everything… where she would go, what she would do.”

Jason Cachuela, identified as the suspect by family members and sources, did not have a criminal record. However, in the days leading up to the tragic incident, he repeatedly threatened suicide. Theresa Cachuela sought protection by obtaining a temporary restraining order against him, expressing her fear for her own safety.

It is worth noting that Jason Cachuela’s attorney, Michael Green, mentioned that the couple had agreed to visitation arrangements for their children. As per the requirements of the domestic restraining order, the judge ordered Jason Cachuela to surrender his firearms. Sources revealed that the police SWAT team collected some weapons as part of the order.

Aninihoa believes that her daughter’s tragic fate could have been prevented if the authorities had taken her pleas for help more seriously. She stated, “She’s been trying to tell the cops about all the issues that were going on, about the gun that he pulled on her a couple of times already. He threatened to kill her.” Aninihoa feels let down by the justice system, as they failed to provide the necessary support and intervention.
