The San Antonio Police Department has released video footage of two officer-involved shootings that took place on consecutive days in November.

The SAPD attempted to stop a vehicle in which Steven Allen Lopez, 45, was traveling. As the vehicle slowed down, Lopez jumped out of the passenger side and fled towards a nearby parking lot. One officer immediately chased him on foot, while the other officer drove towards Lopez before quickly getting out to also pursue him, according to a police news release.

The video shows Lopez fleeing from both officers. At one point, he turns and points a firearm towards the officers. One of the officers shouts when he sees the weapon. Both officers then fired multiple rounds at Lopez, striking him.

Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene, and a loaded gun was found near his body.

The two officers involved in the incident were identified as Joshua Barbosa and Jonathan Delgado. Both officers have completed four years of service. Following the incident, they were placed on administrative duty while the department conducted a criminal and administrative investigation.

No other individuals were injured during the incident.

In another incident, police observed Trevino exiting a building and getting into the passenger side of a vehicle. They followed him and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, according to a news release.

The vehicle pulled over by the side of the road, and Trevino exited from the passenger side while holding a firearm. The video footage shows Trevino running across the road towards a field as officers shouted at him to drop his weapon.

Trevino then fired his gun, striking an officer’s body armor. Several officers can be seen returning fire at Trevino, ultimately hitting him.

Trevino was taken to a local hospital and now faces charges for unlawful carry of a weapon with a felony conviction, drug possession, evading arrest/detention, and aggravated assault against a peace officer.
