During the pursuit, Napper collided with another vehicle but managed to flee the scene, according to FHP. Authorities also state that Napper, driving a gray 2022 Chrysler 300 sedan, reversed direction on I-75 and headed south, closely followed by a Tampa Police Department helicopter.

Before 10 p.m., a trooper observed Napper speeding along the outer shoulder of the interstate. Despite attempts by troopers to intercept him, Napper refused to stop, prompting law enforcement to continue the chase.

According to one trooper, the pursuit continued from exit 294 to exit 261 on I-75 before Napper exited onto I-4 westbound. Near Downtown Tampa, Napper abruptly swerved and exited the interstate.

The Tampa Police Department helicopter and other officers took over the pursuit at this point, as stated by FHP.

Finally, Napper pulled into a Circle K Gas Station located at 6820 N 56th Street in Tampa, where he surrendered to authorities, ending the chase.

Napper now faces multiple felony charges filed by both FHP and TPD.
