CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — The U.S. Marshal Service has announced a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of Garon Turner, a man wanted for aggravated assault. Turner is considered armed and dangerous, and authorities are urging the public to exercise caution.

According to Clayton County police, the incident occurred on Wednesday at 11:36 p.m. when officers conducted a routine traffic stop in the vicinity of Upper Riverdale Road and Tara Boulevard. As officers requested the driver, later identified as Turner, to exit the vehicle, he suddenly fled the scene.

During the pursuit, Turner allegedly pulled out a handgun from his waistband, prompting the officers to discharge their weapons in response. Despite the gunfire, Turner managed to evade capture and fled on foot.

Authorities Seek Public Assistance in Locating Turner

Law enforcement officials have recovered a handgun believed to be discarded by Turner at the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. However, due to the potentially dangerous nature of the suspect, the U.S. Marshal Service is urging anyone with information regarding Turner’s whereabouts to contact 911 immediately.

Reward Serves as Incentive for Public Cooperation

In an effort to expedite Turner’s capture, the U.S. Marshal Service has offered a substantial reward of $5,000 for any information that leads to his arrest. The authorities hope that this monetary incentive will encourage individuals with knowledge of Turner’s location to come forward and assist in the swift resolution of this case.

Garon Turner is considered armed and dangerous, so the public is advised not to approach him directly but to contact law enforcement immediately. The U.S. Marshal Service assures the public that all information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
