Mastering Windows 10: Tips & Troubleshooting Guide.

A 24-year-old man from Pennsylvania has been arrested in connection with the death of his girlfriend’s 2-year-old son. The suspect, Trevaughn Lee Glenn Stribling-Jackson, is accused of burning the toddler’s groin, beating him to death, and hiding his body in a canvas air mattress bag in the basement of their home. The incident has shocked the local community and led to the arrest of the child’s mother as well.

Arrest and Charges

Trevaughn Lee Glenn Stribling-Jackson was taken into custody on Wednesday and is facing multiple charges, including criminal homicide, aggravated assault, concealment of the whereabouts of a child, and abuse of a corpse. These charges were filed based on evidence found by authorities investigating the death of Keaton Morrison, the victim in this tragic case.

The child’s mother, 22-year-old Caleigh Gladfelter, was also arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. According to court records reviewed by Law&Crime, Gladfelter was aware of the physical abuse her son endured at the hands of Stribling-Jackson.

Timeline of Events

On Wednesday, Gladfelter went to the Oil City Police Department to report her son missing. She informed the police that she had last seen her son before leaving for work on Monday afternoon. When she returned home, the boy was nowhere to be found. Stribling-Jackson allegedly acted suspiciously and claimed that the child was with other family members in Erie, Pennsylvania. Gladfelter noticed blood stains on the box spring beneath the air mattress and became concerned.

Gladfelter also informed the police that Stribling-Jackson had previously struck her son, causing bruises on his rib cage. Her statements raised further suspicions about the child’s safety and well-being.

Discovery of the Victim

During a search of the residence, law enforcement officials found the 2-year-old boy’s body inside a bag designed for an Intex air mattress. The bag had been concealed under a makeshift table in the basement. Medical professionals who examined the body observed signs of blunt force trauma to the head and neck, as well as a burn mark on the child’s inner groin.

Community Reaction

Neighbors interviewed by Erie ABC affiliate WJET expressed their shock and sadness over the toddler’s death. Some residents reported that they were not surprised, given what they knew about the child’s mother. They mentioned the frequent presence of different transient individuals in and out of the house, leading to a lack of connection between neighbors and the family.

One neighbor, Sadat Vay, stated, “She’s always had different transient guys there. People living in and out of there all the time, so they’ve never been treated like neighbors because they never speak to anybody or what have you.”

Another neighbor mentioned that the house had a history of “traffic and drugs.”

Legal Proceedings

Stribling-Jackson appeared before a judge on Thursday, who ordered him to be held without bond. The suspect is scheduled to appear in court again on January 3 to face the charges brought against him.
