Man Tasered and Arrested After Police Chase from Orlando Shopping Mall
ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was apprehended and subdued with a Taser on Friday following a high-speed police pursuit that originated from an Orlando shopping mall, as reported by the local police department.

According to a press release issued by the authorities, the incident began when a stolen vehicle, which had been reported missing the day before, was spotted at the International Drive Outlet Mall.
The driver of the stolen car, identified as 25-year-old Nathaniel Orozco, was observed exiting the vehicle and entering a nearby building. Upon noticing Orozco’s actions, the police quickly approached him and ordered him to halt, as stated in the press release.
However, Orozco chose to flee from the pursuing officers, initiating a reckless pursuit. In an attempt to immobilize Orozco, an officer deployed a Taser, but it did not fully incapacitate him, according to investigators.

Video footage released by the police department reveals that despite being pursued by law enforcement officers, Orozco continued to evade arrest, leading to a dramatic takedown by the pursuing officers.
The video captures Orozco exclaiming, “What is going on!?” during the arrest.

During subsequent questioning by detectives, Orozco alleged that a friend had lent him the stolen vehicle, further claiming that he had fled because he was unaware that the pursuing individuals were law enforcement officers, according to the arrest affidavit.
The affidavit quotes Orozco as saying, “I didn’t see your uniforms. I was not aware that you were the police, even after being hit multiple times by Taser probes.”
Orozco now faces charges of resisting arrest and grand theft of a motor vehicle. He is currently being held on a bond of $1,500 for these charges.
