“Lawrence Femminella Arrested for Second Break-In at Shannon Chiropractic Wellness in Delmar: Bethlehem Police Link Parolee to Burglary”

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Bethlehem police have linked a parolee to a second break-in at Shannon Chiropractic Wellness, LLC in Delmar. Lawrence Femminella, a 54-year-old Albany man, was caught burglarizing the Four-Corners business on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 10:42 PM. This was not his first time at the scene, as investigators discovered that he had previously broken into the building. When officers arrived, they saw Femminella moving inside the building and ordered him to come out, which he did without incident.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Femminella had forced entry into the building and was in possession of a glass pipe and 10 Suboxone pills inside a balloon. It was also discovered that there was a full-stay-away order of protection between Femminella and a person at the business. Further investigation revealed that Femminella was under the supervision of New York State Parole and had been convicted four times previously for burglary or criminal possession of stolen property. He had served four separate sentences in state prison.

At the police station, Femminella allegedly confessed to being involved in an additional burglary at the office on October 23. In that incident, employees arrived at the office in the morning to find a broken door, items moved, things on the floor, and a cash box and book of business checks missing.

Detectives applied for and received a warrant, and on December 14, Femminella was arrested at the Albany County jail, where he was remanded after the December 5 incident. For the December 5 incident, Femminella was charged with burglary and criminal mischief (both felonies), petit larceny, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal contempt, disobeying a mandate, possession of burglar tools (all misdemeanors), and having a controlled substance in a non-original container (a violation). For the October incident, he was charged with burglary and criminal mischief (both felonies), petit larceny, criminal mischief, and disobeying a mandate.

Femminella was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court by Judge Ryan Donovan and sent to the Albany County jail without bail. His next hearing is scheduled for January 2.

In another incident, a Bethlehem patrol unit observed a red Nissan Rogue allegedly crossing the center line on River Road on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at approximately 6:53 p.m. The officer followed the car and conducted a traffic stop after witnessing it crossing into other lanes multiple times. The driver, a 48-year-old Glenmont woman, exhibited watery and glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. She claimed not to have consumed any alcohol but failed field sobriety tests and tested positive for breath alcohol on a pre-screening device. At the police station, she provided a breath sample with a .19 percent BAC. She was charged with aggravated DWI, failure to keep right, and drinking alcohol or using cannabis in a motor vehicle. The woman was given an appearance ticket to Bethlehem Town Court for December 19 and released to a sober party.

Bethlehem police also apprehended a 65-year-old Albany woman on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 7:28 p.m. after another police agency detained her for an outstanding warrant in Bethlehem. Roxanne Mark was wanted for not showing up for court for a July 2022 incident in Glenmont. She had two additional warrants for her arrest at the time, one from Colonie and the other from another incident at CVS on Route 9W. Mark was arraigned by Bethlehem Town Judge Andrew Kirby and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court on January 2.

In another incident, a loss-prevention employee at Walmart was arrested for grand larceny on Monday, Dec. 11. Jerman Boone, a 42-year-old Albany resident, was caught on surveillance camera taking three Vizio TVs and leaving the store without paying. He admitted to the theft and was fired from his position. Boone was issued an appearance ticket for Bethlehem Town Court on December 19.

On Sunday, Dec. 10 at 10:39 p.m., Bethlehem police responded to a rollover crash at the intersection of Oakwood and Dumbarton Road. Four people were found near the vehicle, with one back-seat passenger ejected from the vehicle. The driver, a 22-year-old New Iberia, La. woman, exhibited signs of intoxication, including an odor of alcohol on her breath, bloodshot and watery eyes, and impaired motor coordination. She failed field sobriety tests and tested positive for breath alcohol on a pre-screening device. The woman was charged with DWI and issued tickets for speeding, moving from a lane unsafely, and not wearing a seatbelt. She is scheduled to appear in Bethlehem Town Court on January 2.

Bethlehem police responded to a report of a larceny at Walmart on Route 9W on Monday, Dec. 11. Jenay Willingham, a 32-year-old Albany resident, was located inside Taco Bell and detained. She returned all stolen merchandise to the store, and Walmart declined to press charges. However, Willingham had two outstanding warrants from the City of Albany and East Greenbush. She was arrested by Bethlehem police in May for an outstanding warrant in East Greenbush and was transported to meet officers from East Greenbush. Albany police advised Willingham to turn herself in.

On Monday, Dec. 11 at 5:15 p.m., Bethlehem police responded to a report of a car in the median with an unresponsive driver on the Delmar Bypass near the intersection of Elsmere Avenue. Lauren Stipe, a 34-year-old Selkirk resident, was found disoriented and became irate when officers approached her vehicle. She exhibited exaggerated reflexes, was grinding her teeth, and was talkative. Stipe failed field sobriety tests but tested negative for breath alcohol. A search of her purse revealed 3.05 grams of MDMA. Stipe was charged with criminal possession of a hallucinogenic substance, DWAI-Drugs, and unsafe lane change. She was released under the supervision of probation and is scheduled to appear in Bethlehem Town Court on January 2.

Lastly, on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 12:21 a.m., Bethlehem police responded to reports of two subjects riding bicycles on New Scotland Road and found that one of the men, Dominick DiBlasi, had an outstanding warrant from the Albany City police for criminal contempt..
