Tragic Accident Claims Life of Expectant Mother in Wickenburg, Arizona

WICKENBURG, Ariz. (Gray News) – In a devastating incident that occurred earlier this week, an expectant mother lost her life while her husband sustained serious injuries in a tragic crash.

According to reports from KSL, the collision took place on U.S. 93 in the scenic town of Wickenburg, located just an hour outside of Phoenix, on Wednesday night.

The accident unfolded when a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck attempted to overtake other vehicles in a designated passing zone. However, it failed to complete the maneuver and collided head-on with a white Volvo commercial truck.

Tragically, the impact of the collision resulted in the immediate death of a female passenger identified as Chloe Stott, who was travelling in the Toyota truck.

The male driver of the Toyota truck, identified as Parker Stott, suffered critical injuries and burns and was urgently transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Similarly, the driver of the Volvo truck also sustained injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital. Thankfully, medical professionals expect the driver to make a recovery.

Heartbreakingly, the couple had embarked on their journey from Utah to Arizona that evening with the intention of visiting their loved ones and sharing the joyous news of their pregnancy before the holiday season.

“They had recently discovered that they were expecting a baby and were incredibly excited to embrace parenthood, planning to reveal the news to their loved ones during the Christmas celebrations,” shared Jake Toolson through a GoFundMe account.

Toolson further revealed that Parker Stott currently remains in intensive care at the renowned Arizona Burn Center, where medical professionals are diligently working towards his recovery.

“In an instant, the lives of this young couple were forever changed. Any form of support and prayers extended to this grieving family will undoubtedly make a significant difference,” Toolson added.

This unfortunate incident serves as a stark reminder of the fragile nature of life and the unexpected tragedies that can occur at any moment. The community mourns the loss of a young mother and fervently hopes for the full recovery of Parker Stott, who bravely fights for his life.
