Tragic Accident Claims Life of Expectant Mother in Wickenburg, Arizona

WICKENBURG, Ariz. (Gray News) – In a devastating incident that occurred earlier this week, an expectant mother lost her life while her husband sustained serious injuries in a tragic crash.

KSL reports that the collision took place on U.S. 93 in Wickenburg, a scenic town located just an hour outside of Phoenix, on a fateful Wednesday night.

According to eyewitness accounts, a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck was attempting a legal passing maneuver when it tragically failed to complete the pass, resulting in a head-on collision with a white Volvo commercial truck.

Tragically, a female passenger identified as Chloe Stott, who was traveling in the ill-fated Toyota truck, succumbed to her injuries at the accident scene. The male driver, identified as Parker Stott, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for critical injuries and burns.

Fortunately, the driver of the Volvo truck also survived the collision and is expected to make a full recovery after receiving medical attention.

Friends and family of the couple revealed that the Stotts were en route to Arizona from Utah on that fateful evening to surprise their loved ones with the news of their pregnancy, just in time for the upcoming holiday season.

“They had recently discovered they were expecting a baby and were overjoyed at the prospect of becoming parents, eagerly planning to share their exciting news with their nearest and dearest during the festive season,” shared Jake Toolson, a close friend of the couple, through a heartfelt GoFundMe account.

Toolson further revealed that Parker Stott currently remains in intensive care at the Arizona Burn Center, fighting for his life. He added, “This young couple’s lives were irrevocably changed in the blink of an eye.
