35-Year-Old Woman Faces Multiple Charges After Hit-and-Run Crash Injures Pedestrian

OXFORD, Maine — A 35-year-old woman from Oxford is now facing multiple charges following an alleged hit-and-run crash on Friday night. The incident left a male pedestrian with serious bodily injury, according to the Oxford Police Department.

Amber Croteau, 35, of Oxford, was arrested on several charges, including aggravated operating under the influence. The collision occurred in front of Oxbow Beer Pub on Main Street. Croteau was driving a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee at the time of the incident.

Oxford police responded to the scene and apprehended Croteau after she attempted to flee. Authorities noted that she exhibited signs of intoxication upon contact. Croteau was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Oxford County Jail.

In addition to Croteau, her boyfriend, 30-year-old Spencer Martinez of Paris, was also arrested on charges of operating under the influence (OUI).

Croteau now faces multiple charges, including aggravated operating under the influence with injury, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, aggravated driving to endanger, and violating conditions of release.

Prior to the incident, Croteau was already subject to bail conditions for felony theft. The hit-and-run crash further complicates her legal situation.
