30-Year-Old Man Arrested for Stealing Construction Worker’s Tools in Milpitas

A 30-year-old man has been apprehended by the Milpitas Police Department for allegedly stealing tools from a construction worker. The incident took place in Milpitas, California, and the arrest was made on Friday.

The suspect, identified as a resident of San Jose, was tracked down using the innovative Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology. The police determined that he was driving a stolen vehicle, which was reported missing from San Jose.

According to the Milpitas Police Department’s Facebook account, officers swiftly responded to the reported robbery, reaching the scene within three minutes of the incident that occurred around 9:20 a.m. Utilizing the ALPR system, they were able to obtain the license plate number of the suspect’s vehicle and simultaneously track its location.

The stolen vehicle was swiftly located, leading to a pursuit that ultimately reached the city of Fremont.

Assisted by the Fremont police, the Milpitas police successfully apprehended the suspect. Furthermore, they were able to recover and return the stolen tools to the construction worker.
