Pennsylvania Man Arrested for Allegedly Killing Girlfriend’s 2-Year-Old Son

A 24-year-old man from Pennsylvania has been taken into custody for the alleged murder of his girlfriend’s 2-year-old son. The accused, Trevaughn Lee Glenn Stribling-Jackson, is facing charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault, concealment of the whereabouts of a child, and abuse of a corpse. The victim, Keaton Morrison, was found dead in a canvas air mattress bag hidden in the basement of their home.

According to court records reviewed by Law&Crime, Stribling-Jackson was arrested on Wednesday after an investigation into the child’s disappearance. The victim’s mother, Caleigh Gladfelter, was also taken into custody and charged with endangering the welfare of a child as she was aware of the physical abuse inflicted by Stribling-Jackson.

The incident came to light when Gladfelter reported her son missing at the Oil City Police Department. She stated that she had last seen her son before leaving for work on Monday and discovered him missing upon her return. Suspicious behavior from Stribling-Jackson, such as doing laundry and claiming the child was with family members in Erie, raised concerns. Gladfelter also mentioned that Stribling-Jackson had previously struck her son, causing bruises on his rib cage.

During a search of their home, authorities found the boy’s body concealed in a bag for an Intex air mattress. Medics observed blunt force trauma injuries to his head and neck, as well as a burn mark on his inner groin.

Stribling-Jackson, in an interview with the police, denied any knowledge of the child’s whereabouts or his death. He also refuted the claim that the boy was staying with his family in Erie.

Neighbors, interviewed by Erie ABC affiliate WJET, expressed shock and sadness over the tragic death of the toddler. Some neighbors mentioned that Gladfelter had a history of having different transient individuals in her home, and the house was associated with traffic and drug-related activities.

Stribling-Jackson appeared before a judge on Thursday, who ordered him to be held without bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 3.
