Big Rig Crashes into Creek in Trenton, Missouri

Big Rig Crash

In a recent incident on Highway W, located three miles south of Highway 6 and four miles southwest of Trenton, Missouri, a 2006 Freightliner M2 was involved in a mishap.

The unfortunate event took place on December 21, 2023, at approximately 5:50 p.m. According to reports provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the northbound truck veered off the road’s east side, colliding with a guardrail. Subsequently, the vehicle overturned and came to a rest on its passenger side, partially submerged in Wolf Creek.

The driver of the Freightliner, identified as Randall K. Romesburg, a 67-year-old resident of Trenton, Missouri, sustained moderate injuries in the accident. Fortunately, Romesburg was wearing his seat belt when the crash occurred. He received medical attention at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, where he was transported by a private vehicle.

Due to the extent of the damage sustained, the Freightliner M2 required the assistance of Brotherton Truck & Trailer Repair of Chillicothe for its removal.

Trooper J.C. Acree from the Missouri State Highway Patrol provided assistance at the accident scene.
