Accident – Death – Obituary News : The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) has recently announced that no charges will be filed against the police officers involved in an incident where an active shooter was shot and killed at Kennedy Middle School in Germantown. The decision was made following an investigation into the incident, as stated in a news release from the DOJ on December 21st.

The incident occurred on October 23rd at around 6:30 p.m. when Germantown police officers responded to reports of a man behaving erratically and causing damage to parking signs in the school’s parking lot. The man, later identified as 34-year-old Army veteran Kevin Foy, climbed to the top of the school after being confronted by the police officers and began shooting at them. In response, two officers returned fire, and a third officer also discharged their firearm.

Despite receiving immediate medical attention from emergency responders, Foy succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene. Fortunately, none of the officers or the approximately 50 to 70 students who were still inside the school at the time sustained any injuries.

The DOJ has released body camera footage that captured the moment when Germantown police officers arrived at the scene. Additional footage showing Foy’s erratic behavior in his vehicle before reaching the school has also been made public.

The officers involved in the shooting have been identified as Officer Brock Majkowski, Officer Steven Hilleman, and Sgt. Jared Spreiter, according to the DOJ.

It is worth noting that Foy had no connections to the school or the Germantown community. Investigators believe that his vehicle broke down on the evening of the shooting, leading him to take it to a nearby repair shop. Witnesses reported that Foy exhibited erratic behavior at the shop before eventually walking to the school. Unfortunately, he was unable to gain entry as the school doors were locked.
