Driver Identified in Vehicle vs Pedestrian Crash Involving Marinette Student
Marinette, Wisc. – December 13, 2023
Authorities have recently identified the driver involved in the unfortunate vehicle versus pedestrian accident that occurred earlier this month in Marinette. The incident left a 17-year-old student, Bryce Steinfath, injured and in need of medical attention.
The accident took place on Friday, December 8, in the City of Marinette at the 2000 block of Carney Avenue. Emergency services were alerted to the scene when Marinette County Dispatch received a distressing 911 call reporting the collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Upon arriving at the location, responders from the Marinette Police Department found Bryce Steinfath, who had been struck by a vehicle. The driver responsible for the accident has been identified as 36-year-old Amber L. Renner. Renner now faces one count of knowingly operating a motor vehicle while suspended, causing great bodily harm.
Following the incident, several agencies collaborated in order to provide prompt assistance. The Marinette Police Department, Marinette Fire Department, Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area EMS personnel, Marinette Emergency Rescue Squad, and the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene.
In light of the unfortunate circumstances, Steinfath’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the medical expenses resulting from his injuries. The campaign aims to rally support from the local community and beyond.
